Storyline

Storyline
Zhu has been guarding water channels in mountains for more than 30 years. It's a challenge and becoming a difficult task because of he age. No proper roads for transportation, Zhu has to walk every day and never complains. Still, he does his job and protects those channels for villagers, and, for his family.
朱新貴為台北坪頂古圳、登峰圳巡水人，當地居民叫他「阿將」，七星水利會平等里水圳巡守小組長。過去三十幾年將工作餘力的時間奉獻給古圳，夏日巡水除了要擔心水源不足，還要提防不經意碰見的毒蛇；平時的清掃、修繕等維護工作，隨著年紀的增長，且隧道又長又低矮，有些路段必須要蹲著走進行，面對如此辛苦的工作，換來的是長年對此地特別深厚的回憶與情感。

Storyline
Chen, a Chinese-Thai, who works in Taiwan as housemaster of Thai labours’ dormitory, is paying overtime salaries to them. They talk about going back to Thailand for New Year Festival or not. Some of them want to go home as soon as possible, some of not. However, there is no doubt for Chen to stay in Taiwan because he thinks himself as Taiwanese but not a foreigner.
小陳，緬甸籍華僑，在台灣擔任泰籍勞工宿舍的舍監，當小陳發加班費給泰籍移工們時閒話家常提到泰國新年期間返鄉與否的話題，有些人想盡快回家，有些人還想留下來多賺點錢，但對小陳而言卻沒有任何顧慮，因為台灣才是他心中所認定的「家」。
